VSPOT was founded in Park Slope in 2006 by Danny Carabaño, a former Brooklyn Tech math teacher and current compassionate plant based foodie. VSPOT rapidly became known for its unique empanadas, spicy buffalo strips and traditional Colombian dishes such as arepas but with a vegan twist. They have hosted food competitions, fundraisers, birthday parties, book signings, stand up comedy shows and even started a popup vegan market.
