A legend in the New York City boxing community, Gleason’s Gym is a giant. Founded in the 1930s by Peter Robert Gagliardi, a flyweight turned bantamweight, the gym drew boxers from across the five boroughs who trained and fought among many of the gyms legendary trainers. When boxing suffered a decline and many of the sports temples shuttered, Gleason’s remained, and stands today as a mecca to the sport on the Brooklyn waterfront. For decades of history and worldwide renown, Gleason’s is by far the best boxing gym in Brooklyn.

Founded in 1997, Brotherhood Boxing Club is the nonprofit arm of the New York Boxing Academy, where trainees first start learning the basic skills of boxing and workout using variable intensity training routines.
